privacy policy
for boba:3 — a cozy kawaii mobile merge game 🐱
last updated: july 7, 2026
boba:3 is made by Shilat (“Goopie House”), a solo indie developer. this policy explains, honestly and in plain language, what the game does and doesn’t do with your data. i’m not a lawyer — this is a good-faith description of how boba:3 actually works.
what the game collects
the game itself does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information about you. specifically, boba:3 has:
- no ads and no advertising SDKs
- no analytics or usage-tracking (no Firebase, GameAnalytics, Unity Analytics, or similar)
- no crash-reporting or third-party monitoring SDKs
- no account or login to play (aside from optional Game Center, below)
- no advertising identifier (IDFA) and no cross-app tracking
- no cloud save and no game servers — the game makes no network calls of its own
stuff saved on your device
your progress, best score, unlocked stuff, and settings are saved locally on your device only (using the standard iOS on-device storage). this data never leaves your phone, and deleting the app removes it.
apple game center (optional)
boba:3 has a leaderboard powered by Apple Game Center. if you’re signed into Game Center on your device, the game submits your best score to Apple’s leaderboard so you can see how you rank. that score is associated with your Game Center profile (your alias), which is managed by Apple — not by us.
- we never see or store your Apple ID or password.
- this data is handled by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy.
- you can turn Game Center off any time in your device’s Settings → Game Center, and the game still works fine without it.
the website (play-boba.com)
if you join the waitlist on our website, we store the email address you type in, so we can let you know when boba:3 is ready. that’s the only thing the website collects, and it’s stored with our hosting provider (Cloudflare). we don’t sell it, share it, or use it for anything other than boba:3 updates. want it deleted? just email us (below) and it’s gone.
sharing your data
we don’t sell or share your data. the only third parties involved at all are Apple (Game Center leaderboards, if you use them) and Cloudflare (which hosts our website and stores waitlist emails).
children’s privacy
boba:3 is family-friendly, but it isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. if you believe a child has provided us personal info, email us and we’ll delete it.
your choices
- turn off Game Center in your device settings to keep your score fully on-device.
- delete the app to remove all locally-saved game data.
- email us to have your waitlist email removed.
changes to this policy
if the game changes what it collects (for example, if analytics or ads are ever added), this page will be updated first, and the “last updated” date above will change. as boba:3 moves toward its full public launch, this policy will be reviewed and expanded as needed.
